Sequoia Landscape Services, located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is looking for an experienced Construction Foreman for a Full-Time position (Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week with occasional extra weekend work). Health and Dental Benefits may be available after an extended trial period.
Sequoia Landscape Services is an innovative and full service landscaping design and build firm. We are dedicated to superior landscaping services in residential and commercial installations, complete garden and lawn maintenance, fence and deck installations, and mini excavation services.
We are looking for an experienced Carpentry Lead Hand with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work. We provide a friendly working environment with room for advancement and growth. Our crews work hard, and we enjoy what we do.
Skills and Experience:
-Minimum of 3 years experience in a Lead Hand position with a comprehensive knowledge of assigned duties and responsibilities
-Valid Class 5 Drivers License
-Machine Operation and Maintenance experience an asset
-Time Management skills – work efficiently independently as well as part of a team
-Experience working with a variety of equipment, materials, and tools involved in a range of projects
-Ability to read and interpret drawings/renderings, blueprints and specifications
-Main scope of work: building custom Fences, Patios, Decks, Concrete Retaining Walls, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide progress reports including client concerns, problems, delays, etc.
-Work as part of a team to complete jobs within the estimated time frames and budgets
-Coordinate with Management to facilitate job actions, installations, deliveries and daily responsibilities
-Maintain a Friendly and Personable attitude – able to communicate effectively with on-site labourers and clients, ensuring high level of customer service
-Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety Standards
Pay: $25 per hour dependent on experience and a trial working period.
